DIANE BASS - FOUNDER & CQC REGISTERED MANAGER
I founded Rookery Cottage in 1989 and have dedicated myself to providing a real family home for the ladies and gentlemen that we love and look after. I always wanted to make our care unique and provide our care team with access to the very best training so they can grow and develop with us. I feel lucky to have such an amazing and dedicated care team as together we can continue to make Rookery Cottage a special place for everyone.
EMMA BELL - Senior Employed Caring Individual
I have been employed at Rookery Cottage since 2004. I have an NVQ3 Team Leader qualification, as well as an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, both of which I achieved whilst working here at Rookery. I enjoy being at Rookery Cottage because it feels like a home away from home, with both the staff and management feeling like family to me.
DELYSIA DRAPER - Senior Employed Caring Individual
I have been employed at Rookery Cottage since September 2015. I currently hold a Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care, which is my highest qualification, however, I am working towards completing my Chartered Manager Health & Social Care Degree Apprenticeship at the end of this year. The thing I value most about Rookery Cottage is the support I receive from colleagues and management, as well as the rewarding experience of caring for residents during challenging times in their lives.
NICOLA MCLELLAN - Senior Employed Caring Individual
I joined Rookery Cottage in 2003 after starting my career in the care sector upon leaving school in 1991. I currently hold an NVQ Level 4 Registered Manager's Award but this year I have started a Level 5 Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship. The team at Rookery Cottage is fantastic and provides support to everyone in the home, as well as to visitors. We take great pride in the excellent care we provide to our residents.
LINDSEY PAYNE - Senior Employed Caring Individual
I began my employment at Rookery Cottage after finishing school in 2000. I have obtained my NVQ Level 3 Team Leader qualification and my NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care whilst working at Rookery. I truly enjoy working at Rookery Cottage because I find fullfilment supporting both our residents and the care team.
ILZE WATERS - Senior Employed Caring Individual
I became part of Rookery Cottage in 2022 and have already succeeded in gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I truly enjoy caring for the residents, and working for Rookery as we consistently go above and beyond for our residents and their families. From the management to the team, and the residents themselves, it truly feels like we are a family.

I recently joined Rookery Cottage and am new to care work. The team has warmly welcomed me, providing constant support and encouragement which makes me feel valued. Rookery Cottage has a comforting atmosphere that truly feels like a home away from home - you feel welcomed the moment you walk through the door. The residents are treated like family and receive care that reflects that sense of belonging.

I enjoy working at Rookery Cottage because of the opportunities I have received to develop my career and the new friendships I have formed with the care team, residents and families.

I have been employed at Rookery Cottage since 2022, and my highest qualification is an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I am currently pursuing training to become a Shift Leader here at Rookery Cottage. What I appreciate most about working at Rookery Cottage is the support I have received from my colleagues and management, as well as the opportunity to care for our residents.
TANYA SKVORTSOVA - Employed Caring Individual
I have been employed at Rookery Cottage since 2022, and whilst being employed here I have earned my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I appreciate my time at Rookery Cottage as it has allowed me to apply my previous social care Level 2 learning in a real-world setting. Additionally, I have acquired valuable hands-on experience and I am dedicated to providing high-quality care for the residents we care for.

I have been employed at Rookery Cottage for the past six months, and my highest qualification to date is an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working at Rookery Cottage because it emphasizes a person-centered approach for both residents and staff.

I joined Rookery Cottage in 2022 after spending 30 years in the care sector and I hold an NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I truly enjoy my work at Rookery Cottage, as it is very different from anywhere else I have worked previously in the care sector. I find the staff to be supportive, and the care provided to residents is exceptional.
MICHELLE ZELLER - Employed Caring Individual
I have recently joined Rookery Cottage this year, and I currently hold an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I am looking forward to starting my Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care as I look to continue my career development with Rookery Cottage. Since joining I have found the team to be supportive and approachable, and I have been made to feel very welcome by everyone, both staff, residents and families.
BINA - Maintenance Technician
I joined Rookery Cottage in 2019 after relocating to England and I am happy to be a part of the wonderful team. I assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the house and the grounds to ensure that everything is clean and safe for the staff, residents and their families.
